Overview

Djournal Coffee at Cafe Kissa, nestled in the Shinta Lobby of East Mall, Grand Indonesia, offers more than just a caffeine fix—it delivers an experience perfectly crafted for both casual visitors and dedicated coffee lovers. This coffee shop, tucked within the lively heart of Jakarta Pusat, combines a calm, welcoming atmosphere with a distinct Japanese-inspired aesthetic, making it a hidden gem amid the bustling mall environment.

The space itself is thoughtfully designed with cozy seating arrangements, ambient lighting, and subtle background music, creating a harmonious environment ideal for focused work sessions or relaxed conversations. Whether you're seeking refuge for productivity or a serene spot to unwind, Djournal Coffee excels at providing a warm, inviting vibe that resonates with diverse patrons.

At the core of Djournal Coffee’s appeal lies its expertly prepared beverages. The Shaken Espresso Latte stands out with its rich yet well-balanced flavor, masterfully crafted to deliver both smoothness and depth. For those who prefer something lighter and refreshingly zesty, the Yuzu Citron Tea Extra Shot offers a bright citrus note with a pleasant kick, blending traditional tea refinement with a modern twist.

Complementing the drinks is a thoughtfully curated selection of bites. The Chocolate Muffin presents a moist, indulgent option that pairs beautifully with their coffee offerings. Reviews also highlight intriguing menu items beyond the core coffee and tea, like the okonomiyaki-inspired pizza and black sesame mozcheese, which add a culinary dimension to the café’s profile—although these are more on the snack side to share and explore together.

Service here is attentive without overwhelming. Staff are knowledgeable and humble when discussing the specialty beans, reflecting genuine passion and care. This balance enriches the overall experience, fostering a connection between visitors and the craft behind each cup.

Djournal Coffee at Cafe Kissa caters to an audience that appreciates refined coffee craftsmanship within an intimate ambiance. It appeals to mall-goers seeking a soothing pause, remote workers needing a reliable spot, and coffee aficionados looking for authentic flavors. The blend of cultural influences, peaceful atmosphere, and quality offerings makes it a standout destination in Jakarta’s vibrant coffee scene.

A cozy spot with a warm vibe right in Grand Indonesia East. Perfect for a coffee break after shopping. The coffee is smooth and flavorful, and they have good choices of snacks to go with it. Love the comfy seating and relaxed atmosphere—it’s a nice place to sit, chat, or even do a bit of work. Definitely one of my favorite coffee stops in the mall.

Other than the shop smells good and the staffs are friendly, the drinks are actually good! Sea salt creamy latte is my go to, but this time I’m trying out the sea salt matcha, and it’s more than just a trend, it’s really good!
